Rose began her mosaic
art in 2006 during an evening workshop intended for recreation.
She quickly became fascinated with this new art form.
Rose started making mosaic flowerpots
before moving onto murals and vases. She designs all of her own patterns and
colors schemes to create a unique variety of work. Stain glass is
her primary material of choice. All of her work is done in either
opaque or clear glass and sometimes a combination of both. Opaque
stain glass gives the appearance of tile.
In 2005 Rose began her most challenging project, Nipper 2005. She
was selected to design and decorate a fiberglass Nipper dog as part
of a public art project for Moorestown NJ. “Philadelphia Nipper” was
developed from several images of Philly landmarks scaled to size
and used as a template. The entire dog is covered with opaque stain
glass. For more information on Nipper click

Rose graduated from Temple’s Tyler School of
Art in 1995 with a BFA and has been working as a graphic designer
for the past 10 years in both the print and web media. She currently
works for Cataleno & Company a design studio in Moorestown NJ.
